entirely worth it: knit and chanel

This Vince Cropped Crew Summer Sweater is a prime example of an open weave knit that is so necessary for warmer weather.  I'm a big fan of the summer knit trend - they are so layerable, comfortable, and -most importantly- chic. This particular one is wonderful dressed up a little with a belted skirt and ballet flats.

Speaking of which, I believe there is no greater ballet flat to invest in than Chanel's.  Always in style, these beautifully classic shoes add to any outfit and can be worn anywhere. I love the combination of black leather with the black patent toecap, the simple thin leather bows and those lovely interlocking C's that almost blend into the shoe. There is a slight (almost half an inch) heel height that is barely noticeable but just right (à la Cinderella).

For a slightly more casual ensemble, though, I love this sweater with these comfortably relaxed cropped khakis and wedges. It also always works with cutoff shorts or skinny jeans.  The great thing about summer knits is they are the incomparable alternative to a jacket (which hopefully will prove to be too heavy during these upcoming months).
Skirt + Leather Belt: The Kooples, Ballet Flats: Chanel, Eyeglasses: Chanel, Khaki's: F21, Wedges: Cynthia Vincent.
