Bright shoes, like accessories, are a wonderful way to brighten up a basic cocktail dress as a substitute for black pumps. These babies are just as match-worthy as their standard opponents, but with an eye-catching factor. I wouldn't pair a cherry-red shoe with a cherry-red dress or a purple shoe with an already brightly-patterned ensemble, but as far as brightening up the basics go, there are no comparisons. The possibilities are endless with so many textures (suede, patent, leather) and shades, you can't go wrong!
