I was never really a fan of the cargo pant trend, but when I saw these Free People cargo leggings I knew they were the happiest of mediums.  Much to my surprise, the fabric doesn't bag out at the knee after wear, and the charcoal color is incredibly versatile.  I love the subtle zipper at the ankle.  They look grey with a belted chambray like so, a flannel, a sweater... really anything that isn't too form fitting on top.
