My dad got me this wonderfully plaid jacket from Barcelona this summer. It is from Zara, and I fell in love with it from the second it came into my eyesight. My favorite part is that it incorporates all the necessary colors: black, gray, charcoal, white, and chocolate. There is not anything this coat doesn't go with! Hitting at mid-thigh, it has a strong collar that can be buttoned up to warm the neck, longer three-quarter-length bell sleeves, and a really handy hood.
