Runway: Alexander Wang SS12

Alexander Wang's S/S 2012 collection was riveting. When I had a chance to sit down and watch it in its entirety, I was blown away. Complete with just-showered hair, minimal makeup, and Wang's traditional effortless sporty vibe and ample zippers, nothing could possibly distract me from this show. I was swooning over the black and white laser-cut floral and phenomenal mirrored display. From grommet-ed jackets, cutout skirts, knee-length leather shorts, sheer surfer-inspired tunics, mesh ensembles, and an enthusiastic Alex running out in his all black sneakered uniform, the show was incomparable. I loved that he took a simple, sleek burgundy leather minidress and personalized it with the intricate tribal cutout detail that was only obvious after viewing a close-up photo. The cherry on top is Alex's niece, who couldn't be more obviously related to a fashion guru:
