Runway: Mulberry SS12

Mulberry's S/S 2012 London Fashion Week show was truly breathtaking (this is to be taken literally: each look had me gasping). The show featured an array of palettes, each one blending into the next. It was coordination at its finest, beginning with canary yellow, to the nudest of nudes, sage green, mint green, pastel pink (the seasons biggest hue), and then a maxi featuring each of these colors and topped with the most wearable leather jacket. Ivory made its way into the mix next, first in patterned dresses and then into bold monochromatic but textured looks. Sheer and flowing maxi skirts made more than one appearance, and each look had a corresponding Alexa satchel. From the glowing ivory ensembles came the witchiest of black, again in enticing, sheer fabrics, the highest of wedges, and the biggest of hair (the bleach blonde, tousled runway-version of Snooki's poof).  The black transferred to gold and mustard and ended in cream embellished garments. Each look was so beautiful, it was hard enough for me to only show fourteen shots.
